Thanks to the Shale Revolution, energy costs in the United States are lower and supplies are plentiful – but not in New England, where anti-pipeline politicians have created a real “energy void.”
When temperatures go low in New England — like this winter — renewable sources just can’t cut it. Power plants and home heating demand more natural gas, but the politicians have staunched the flow.
Not to worry: foreign flag tankers are right offshore — filled with natural gas from Russia.
Instead of energy jobs right here at home, the anti-pipeline politicians are creating jobs in Russia.
The lesson is clear: to meet America’s energy needs, we need safe, reliable pipelines – not Russian tankers!
