The Society of Women Engineers’ “All Together” blog this week features Lindsey Williams, a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Lindsey now works on a cross-functional team that also includes geologists, facility and drilling engineers, petrophysicists – even accountants and lawyers. Together, they are helping Chevron plan unconventional developments in the Permian Basin.
The “All Together” blog features the highlights of Lindsey’s education and career, the perspectives she’s gained – and some good tips for other women considering a career in engineering: “To anyone thinking about a future in engineering, here is some advice: Be a good listener and do not be afraid to speak up and ask questions. I can guarantee someone is thinking the exact question you may be too afraid to ask,” Lindsey says.
